












The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of or compliance with these rules. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official. BGM officials reserve the right to make changes to the rules during the course of the season, to ensure greater safety.
General Information:
- Stop fighting or pushing the ‘gray areas’ of the Rules. If it is not directly stated in the Rules, it is NOT legal and should not be done. If you feel it is legal and others do not, ASK an official and they will let you know if it is legal or not.
- Safety is our #1 priority!
- Unsportsmanlike conduct, abuse of officials/competitors/spectators/officers/ or disregard for safety or track rules, any actions detrimental to off-road racing, including intentionally affecting the outcome of the race, the company, or the company in regards to its sponsors, will NOT be tolerated. BGM officers, track reps, head flagger and corner workers are completely in charge of the race. Official’s interpretation, clarification, or application prevail upon disagreement or dispute. Drivers are responsible for all actions of crew members and Pitman/Dash and Powder Puff race drivers. Drivers may be issued penalties for pit crew misconduct. Such penalties may extend to the car as well as the driver. This also applies to track officials. *Unsportsmanlike conduct, abuse of officials/competitors/spectators and/or disregard for safety or track rules WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
PENALTIES, VIOLATIONS, AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION:
- Penalties for violation of the rules are determined by the severity of the violation(s) and its effects on fairness of competition, the orderly conduct of the event, and the interest of BGM racing, company sponsors, promoters and the company itself. Such penalties may include but are not limited to: disqualification, probation, suspension of racing privileges, fines and/or loss of points. Probation may be for a specified time period for review of the driver’s conduct to determine whether a more severe penalty is warranted. BGM Racing will use the following as guidelines for the imposition of penalties in the situations described below but may assess a greater or lesser penalty depending on the circumstances. Drivers are responsible for the pit crew members all will same the same penalty if their crew members violate these rules.
- Any person who assaults or threatens to do bodily harm to any official or persons serving under the officials direction: a monetary fine, suspension, potential lifetime suspension and/or loss of championship points.
- Any person, while participating in a sanctioned event, is in any way under the influence of any and all controlled substances, including but not limited to alcohol, drugs (including prescription), marijuana: disqualification, monetary fine, loss of championship points, and suspension.
- Any person who participates in fights in the pits, on the track, or on any race premises.
- Any person who participates in any verbal assault or threat of bodily harm in the pits, on the track, on any race premises, or including but not limited to social media or electronic communications:
Registration:
- $60.00 per class will be paid by each driver at registration.
- $25.00 SCORR Registration Fee (If haven’t paid yet)
- Driver must present a valid driver’s license
- Cars must be inspected prior to the driver’s meeting. Cars must have the complete body and both bumpers in place for tech. Cars will remove/raise hoods for inspection and bring all appropriate safety gear with them to tech inspection.
- Any car can have a partial or FULL inspection of any part or area by a track official for ANY REASON AT ANY TIME. Refusal to be inspected is admission of an illegal car.
- If a driver notifies a track official that an unforeseen incident will make him/her late, he/she must be at the track when the pit meeting starts. Driver can then be inspected as soon as the meeting ends. Anyone arriving once the pit meeting has started does not race.
- LATE REGISTRATION: Any driver who is late (past the posted end of check-in time) will pay a late fee. 1st offense $25, 2nd offense $50. Late fees will be added to that day’s purse.
- LATE PIT PEOPLE: Any late pit people will pay the track’s full pit pass price if they are included in the driver’s registration fee. Extra pit people will pay the full pit pass price plus $10. Track personnel hold the authority to deny entry into the pit area for late pit personnel.
- Extra pit people are charge $20.00. Extra pit people must sign release.
Payout:
- At drivers’ meeting state how many cars will move up from heats and mains, also how many places will be paid. Checks will be handed out after all the races are completed unless there is a protest. Please do not enter the crow’s nest to get your check, we will come find you after the races are over.
Pit Area Rules:
- 5 mph speed limit for all vehicles at all times
- Each registered car is allowed one support vehicle
- No alcohol or controlled substances in pit area before and during races. Drivers, crew members officials or volunteers who drink before end of all races will be removed from pit area. Anyone planning on driving pitman or powder puff may not consume alcoholic beverages prior to that race. Any violations will be dealt with following the disciplinary actions described above.
- All pit members must be present at the PIT meeting. It is the driver’s responsibility to make sure all his/her crew is present at the meeting. The driver is responsible for their pit crew, family and friends.
- Pit members are limited to the driver and two crew members based on the registration fee. Any extra pit members will be charged an additional fee. Drivers are responsible for all of their pit crew members.
- At the completion of each Heat, the next Heat drivers will be in position, safety equipped and ready to race. At the completion of a C Main, if the B main designated winning positions choose to move up, they have 10 minutes before the B Main green flag will drop.
- If a driver does not show up to line up at the initial call for their race, a track official must check with the driver before the race can start. If a driver doesn’t show up in 5 minutes or the allotted time after being informed by a track official that they are due for lineup, the race can start without them.
- If a driver is done for the day, it is the driver’s responsibility to inform the designated official that you are done for the day. DON’T MAKE US COME LOOKING FOR YOU!
Flags:
- GREEN: Go! Race started
- WHITE: One lap left in race
- YELLOW: Caution only. Keep racing but be cautious. Hanging yellow flag is the same obstacle. Waving yellow flag is a new hazard.
- Blue/Orange: Leaders are coming up on you. Please hold your line and be aware.
- RED: Danger! Stop immediately safely on the track.
- ORANGE: Safety flag. Stop at Designated Area and follow official’s instruction. This flag is used for loose parts on cars and can also be used for cutting corner, aggressive driving, etc.
- CHECKERED: Race is over. No matter how many laps a driver has completed, the race is over.
- ROLLED BLACK: Warning for aggressive or un-sportsmanship driving. Next time will be waved. Rolled black may also be used if the track does not have an Orange safety issue flag.
- WAVED BLACK: Track violation. Go to pit. Done for that race.
Safety Rules and Minimum Requirements:
- All race vehicles are subject to inspection by officials at any time in any manner. Passing the initial Technical Safety Inspection is not an endorsement of the performance of the vehicle, nor an indication that the vehicle complies with all rules.
- Driver Controlled:
- All appropriate safety gear must be worn on the track at ALL TIMES!!
- Helmets– Super Stock- the helmet must be full faced and no older than 2010 and DOT/SNELL rating above 2010, motorcross style allowed and must be 2010 rated. If running Motorcross style goggles MUST be worn! Motocross style no longer allowed starting in 2024
- Helmets– Modified – the helmet must be full faced and DOT/Snell 2010 rated
- Apparel for ALL classes – Racing fire suits required, fire resistant racing shoes or leather boots and racing gloves are mandatory. firesuits can be 1 or 2 peice and at least single layer. ALL safety gear must be SFI rated(except leather boots). Neck collars or neck braces are required.
- Amber Light/Brakes: every vehicle will have to show that it can lock up at least two wheels at Tech. An amber light needs to be mounted in back window and working while on the track for visibility in dusty conditions.
- If you are directly involved in a roll over, all involved cars are out for that heat/main. This includes cars assisting in a rollover. Rolled cars must be reinspected by three (3) APPROVED people to ensure no safety or operational issues are missed. Any visible damage to the roll cage results in the car being disqualified from any remaining races that day.
- All cars must have forward and reverse at tech inspection in order to race.
Drivers Area:
- All glass, chrome, plastic, fiberglass, bolts, screws, and loose metal must be removed from exterior of car, inside or doors and Driver’s compartment.
- Doors, hood and trunk must be welded, bolted, pinned or chained shut. No chain from hood to/around core support or bumper.
- Sun roofs or T-tops must be covered with aluminum or sheet metal that is securely fastened.
- Hood and trunk must have 6” or bigger, or 4”x10” hole on passenger side unblocked access hole for fire hose
- Gas tanks may be left in original position but NOT used for gas or as a fuel cell. Fuel cell is recommended. Fuel cell cannot be under floor pan behind rear axle. Must be securely fastened in trunk and vented. Car must have firewall between fuel tank and driver. Fuel cell cannot be made out of aluminum. Stock fuel tank that is between the axles on FWD cars is allowed with skid plate allowed protecting tank.
- Battery must be mounted inside driver’s compartment or trunk. Battery must be securely mounted within the battery box, which must also be securely mounted.
- Number fin on top of car is required with the NUMBER being NO LESS THAN 7” high. Number on fin must match number on door, MUST have contrasting colors and be easily seen by the lap counters. No spray painted numbers on fin. Cars with electric fuel pump must have a 3” letter “E” behind car number and on fin. Cars with electric fuel pump must have a letter E painted behind car number. No other alpha characters are allowed in the car number.
- Mud flaps are mandatory for all cars.
- Seats and mounting – one piece after-market racing style seats are required for all classes. Seats are STRONGLY recommended that seats and seat mounts are fastened to the roll cage assembly.
- Harness and Mounting: a five point racing style lap and shoulder safety harness is mandatory. All belts must be in good conditions and not sun bleached or fatigues. All belts need to be mounted securely and correctly.
- Detachable steering wheels are recommended for all cars for safety.
- Roll Cage: A roll cage must be in a six-point configuration. Use a minimum or 1 ½ inch round tubing with .095 inch wall. Door bars need to be placed high enough and low enough to protect the occupant. Roll bar padding shall be installed anywhere your head or arm my hit during racing or incident.
- Minimum of 3 driver side door bars. Welds must be of good quality, good penetration and may be hammer tested. ANY class of cars may run any body/skin and can be made of plastic, metal or fiberglass. Cars must be held together by rivets or nuts and bolts to fasten sheet metal panels and NOT self-tapping screws. It is STRONGLY reccomended have a 1/8” plate welded horizontally into the roll cage in the door for safety. Racer plastic (outside of cockpit), stock car nosepieces and tailpieces are acceptable. Any mirror securely mounted to roll cage and not outside the body is allowed.
- Switches: track workers must be able to quickly find and turn off the ignition. The switch is to be painted orange or red and It must be located in the center of the dash area and clearly labeled “on” and “off”. Cars with electric fuel pump must have 2 switches: one switch located in the dash and a second Master SHUT OFF located in the rear passenger side so track workers can reach it from all directions. BOTH switches be painted orange or red for visibility.
- Fire Extinguisher: a working UL approved fire extinguisher must be in each pit.
- Nets: Driver’s side window must be covered with a factory racing window net. All nets must be mounted very securely to the doors and must be accessible and detachable from the bottom or top. Check net for wear, tears, weather damage, etc. and replace as needed for your safety. No Velcro
- Windshield mesh screen: All window mesh/screens must be strong enough to stop a baseball sized rock.
- Oil, Water, & Fuel Lines: Lines should have no leaks, and not in danger or abrasion from any moving parts. All classes must have secondary protection for any lines and tanks routed through driver’s compartment, and escape holes for the hot fluids behind the secondary protection shields and guards.
- Radiators must be in stock position. If radiator mount is broken, a mount may be made to put around radiator. Secondary cooling allowed
Front End/Rear end:
- Brakes & Lines: At least two wheels must lock up
- Drive Shaft Loop and Scatter Guard: A drive shaft retainer hoop/loop is required, 6-10 inches from front universal joint sufficiently mounted to secure the drive shaft if it fails
- Bumpers: All cars must have a stock bumper that is well secured to the vehicle. Bumpers will not be “oversided” compared to stock equipment. Bumpers must be capped with a piece of up to 2” tubing or a strap of metal not to exceed bumper height. Must be contained within original body line of car.
- Skid plate allowed, no more than 24” wide. If may extend from main frame cross member to core support or front bumper
- No transmission cooler may be in the driver compartment. Cooler may be in stock position or in trunk with a firewall in place.
- Weight added to car must be properly secured.
This class MUST remain within its manufacturers factory components. i.e. GM to GM parts only; FORD to FORD; DODGE to DODGE, etc. Pickups with a ¾ Ton rating or less, including S-10, Ranger, Dakota sized pickups; Must have a box, fleetside or flareside. 4×4 pickups must have front driveline removed. NO flatbeds, Rancheros or El Caminos. Any SUV is allowed. Removable roofs must be removed and a firewall must be installed in its place behind driver.
Any car found non-compliant with the these rules will race in the BGM Super Stock or modified class or not at all.
HELMETS may be NO OLDER than 2010 and full-faced. Motocross helmets are allowed if full faced and DOT/SNELL rating above 2010. Helmet will be checked at Tech at EVERY race. Any visible damage to the helmet will deem it unallowed. Note: wearing the Snell 2010 helmet is highly recommended. RACING FIRE SUITS, FR GLOVES AND FR OR MID-TOP LEATHER BOOTS ARE REQUIRED.
Allowed Front & Rear Suspension:
- Stock suspension pieces from any vehicle in the same manufacturers series.
- Different spring rates or added springs & weight jacks, longer than stock springs and shackles allowed.
- Reinforcement by plating, gussets, or other means on suspension components, rear ends, and frames.
- Body: May run any body / skin and can be made of plastic, metal or fiberglass. If using a fiberglass body, the driver’s compartment must have a steel plate under the roof, securely fastened to the driver halo.
- One (1) shock located in original location only, must be OEM style shock, designed to fit a production vehicle: a direct replacement of original or after-market, securely mounted in stock position. Coil over shocks ok. OEM, STOCK MOUNTING, ONLY IN ORIGINAL STOCK POSITION. Repairs must be in stock position. Trucks with dual factory shocks will remove the front shock, leaving the rear shock in the original position.
- Tires: Any style tire allowed except implement tires. Track officials / board members at the race have final call. Trucks will run maximum 16” rims, no split rims. Split rims result in disqualification.
- 5/8″ wheel studs acceptable.
- Four-wheel disc brakes allowed.
Engine:
- STOCK COMPONENTS AND PARTS ONLY!! Any factory aluminum or cast-iron intake allowed – must have factory stamp. No after market performance intake, even if built by the vehicle manufacturer. Cast-iron stock-looking aftermarket intake manifold allowed. OEM cast exhaust manifolds exiting below heads. Oil pan and valve covers must be stock. Mini starters allowed. The engine must be in stock position and have components such as fan & alternator hooked up and working at inspection.
- RESTRICTOR PLATE: ANY ENGINE USING A 4-BBL INTAKE MANIFOLD MUST RUN A RESTRICTOR PLATE WHETHER USING A 2BBL OR 4BBL CARBURETOR. All LIMITED 4-barrel carbureted cars and trucks must have a restrictor plate with a 1” bore size, which will be supplied by the Association. Any changes to / tampering with the restrictor plate results in a penalty: 1st violation is a $500 fine, loss of points and payout, and the restrictor plate confiscated by the LLC. Fine must be paid in full prior to the driver’s next race. Second violation is a $750 fine, loss of points and payout, confiscation of the restrictor plate, ejected from racing any more that year. Fine must be paid in full before the next race season.
- 2-barrel carbureted LIMITED cars are not required to have a restrictor plate but cannot have more than 500 cfm; Venturi cannot be greater than 1-3/8”.
- Races will be monitored throughout the season for effectiveness and addressed as needed.
- Exhaust must exit behind the transmission cross member. NO stacks.
- Only 1 carburetor allowed.
- Mechanical OEM fuel pump or aftermarket electric fuel pump allowed. Cars equipped with electric fuel pump must have 3” “E” behind numbers, and the required kill switches as noted in “M” of Safety Rules and Minimum Requirements for All Classes.
- Ignition system must use OEM stock for that car. Spark plug wires may be silicone style for heat control. Distributor caps may be changed with stock replacement. Rev limiter allowed.
- Non-aluminum racing fuel cells are required and must be securely mounted. Car must have a firewall between the fuel tank and the driver. Stock gas tank may be left in original position but NOT used as a fuel cell.
- Pump gas only. No exotic fuels, including E-85, in Super Stock class. The SCORR board will test fuels in question or at any time and may impose a penalty based on findings.
Miscellaneous
- Transmission cooler may be left in the original location or securely mounted elsewhere in the engine compartment car. Must have secondary protection for any lines routed through driver’s compartment.
- Firewall may be curved or bent for more distributor clearance. Station wagons and other vehicles without trunks, must build a rear firewall to protect the driver’s compartment from fluids and/or flames, which could come from the fuel cell, filler cap, fuel lines, etc.
- Posi-traction rear ends are recommended.
- Frame connectors allowed on unibody cars.
- Any fan, either OEM or aftermarket.
- One (1) Radiator only in stock location, added water allowed for cooling. No reinforcement in front of core support.
- Strengthening of A-arms allowed.
- Fire extinguisher mounted inside the car is highly recommended but is required in the pit.
- Tire protection allowed. Up to 1 1/2″ tubing 0.095″ (3/32″ or 13 gauge) or 6″ wide by 1/8″ thick plate NO THICKER, NO WIDER welded to bumper then extending along quarter panel and bending into frame. Not to exceed original body line. Black flag if used as a ram.
- A full roll cage kept within the body of the car and behind the core support is required.
- The stock core support must be in place.
- Damaged core supports may be repaired, but no stronger than stock. 1/8th expanded metal and/or flexible material such as tin can be used in front of radiator but MUST be behind core support.
- Any “mud guards” in front of the core support must be made with flexible material, i.e. soft plastic or rubber. No metal or tin allowed in front of core support.
- External radiator protector loop is allowed. Maximum 1 ½” OD pipe. Can extend from frame rail to frame rail only. Maximum of 4 points of contact. 2-points to the front bumper and 2-points from the top bar to the frame horns. Bar cannot be higher than the hood and must not stick out past the front of the bumper.
- Gear Limitation: 4.56 or numerically lower ratio only allowed in limited class.
ENFORCEMENT for GEAR LIMITATION:
- Top 5 cars in LIMITED A main can be protested by any driver who takes the green flag in the A main for $75 cash, presented to the Head Flagger, within 10 minutes of the checkered flag. $25 is an administration fee paid to the Company. $50 goes to protested driver if the car is found legal; it goes to driver who contested if the car is found illegal. If car is found to be illegal, the driver forfeits all points and winnings for the day: money earned will be divided among drivers earning a check that race day. Refusal to be torn down equals an illegal car. At least two (2) Board Members will be present during any teardown.
Not Allowed: LIMITED Class
- No welded spider gears in any rear end. Mini spools are NOT allowed in 7-1/2” GM rear end. Mini spools are still allowed in larger rear ends (ie. GM 8-1/2” & Ford 9”). Ford 9” rear ends, including full floating rear ends, are now allowed (not required) in all racecars in all classes. A 1” pipe plug inspection hole is recommended in all rear ends.
- Custom fabricated components to lighten unsprung weight of vehicle.
- Studded tires.
- ¾ rear end or custom fabricated rear end housings.
- Cars with pickup frames. Convertibles, Van’s or SUV’s.
- Steering brakes.
- Fuel injection systems except stock system as provided on that specific model and year.
- Blowers or turbos. No Nitrous Oxide or any other oxygen injection systems.
- Alteration of suspension pieces or location other than reinforcement.
- No hitches.
- No Beadlocks allowed in Limited class.
Any car found non-compliant with these rules will race in the modified class or not at all.
Passenger cars, station wagons, El Camino/Ranchero using only two-wheel drive, either front or rear wheel, produced in quantities of at least 5000 vehicles and available for sale in the USA.
Front & Rear Suspension:
- Maximum of 2 shocks allowed per wheel. Original factory shock must be as close to stock location as possible
- No rebuildable, revalveable, or remote reservoir shocks allowed
- Shocks protruding through hood must be covered.
- Tires: Any style tire allowed except implement tires. Tires must not exceed 31×10.50 in size
- Travel limits cannot exceed 12” on the front and 15” on the rear
- Aftermarket tubular stock style replacement (IMCA Certified) upper A-arms allowed. Aftermarket stock length tubular rear control arms allowed. All other parts must remain stock but can be reinforced.
Engine:
- Cast in / Cast Out: Stock components and parts Only. Factory stock stamped intake only, No high-performance intakes or parts. Cast iron stock-looking aftermarket intake manifold allowed. Stock looking intake that bolts to Vortec heads allowed. Part number #IN350MA from Engine Quest allowed to bolt to Vortec heads.
- Alternator, water pump, and power steering pump, if used, must be belt driven from the crankshaft pulley, unless equipped differently from the factory.
- No carb spacers allowed (2bbl to 4bbl adapters allowed)
- No Aftermarket high performance exhaust manifolds allowed (such as Holly, Speedway, Sanderson, etc..). Parts store stock replacement allowed (such as Doorman).
- Only one carburetor allowed
- No engine setback
- No LS engines allowed unless it is the factory engine that came with the car.
- Tall valve covers allowed, but No roller rockers allowed. Roller tip are ok
Miscellaneous:
- Gear Limitation: 5.14 or numerically lower ratio only allowed in Super Stock class. Posi or full spool preferred for safety, but mini spools or welded spiders are allowed.
ENFORCEMENT for gear limitations and roller rockers:
- Top 5 cars in Super Stock A main can be protested by any driver who takes the green flag in the A main for $75 cash, presented to the Head Official, within 10 minutes of the checkered flag. $25 Administration is a fee. $50 goes to protested driver if the car is found legal; it goes to driver who contested if the car is found illegal. If car is found to be illegal, the driver forfeits all points and winnings for the day (money earned will be divided among drivers earning a check that race day). Refusal to be torn down equals an illegal car. An official will be present during the tear-down. Payouts for that race will be held until the protest inspection is completed. At the completion of the race day the protested driver will put their car on jack stands and remove either rear pumpkin or differential cover for gear teeth inspection.
Not Allowed:
- Convertibles, Vans, SUVs Blowers or turbos.
- Studded tires
- Aftermarket fuel-injection systems
Passenger cars, station wagons, El Camino/Ranchero using only two wheel drive, either front or rear wheel, produced in quantities of at least 5000 vehicles and available for sale in the USA.
Allowed:
- Stock suspension pieces from any vehicle in the same manufacturers series.
- Custom suspension pieces allowed.
- Any ball joint adaptations but only in stock locations.
- Spindles may be aftermarket or modified but must be as heavy or strong as OEM.
- Different spring rates or added springs and weight jacks. Longer than stock, springs & shackles are allowed.
- Reinforcement by plating, gussets, or other means.
- Any shock combinations and configurations are allowed. Reservoir shocks allowed. Driver must be shielded from shock explosion danger. Coil over shocks ok.
- Any exposed shock(s) must be covered
- Any rear axle from any manufacturer under ¾-Ton rating narrowed and reinforced housings ok. Full spools allowed. Any style rear end that is not homemade is allowed. No welded spider gears in any rear end. Mini spools are NOT allowed in 7-1/2” GM rear end. Mini spools are still allowed in larger rear ends (ie. GM 8-1/2” & Ford 9”). Ford 9” rear ends, including full floating rear ends, are now allowed (not required) in all racecars in all classes. A 1” pipe plug inspection hole is recommended in all rear ends.
- Tire size is limited to 33×12.50, as stamped on sidewall.
- One radiator in stock location only.
- Frame must be contained within body configurations.
- Steering: steering system components must be located within + or – 3” original location. Center drive cockpit allowed. It may consist of aftermarket or custom parts as long as stronger and safer than stock. Steering brakes not allowed.
- Bumpers: Non-stock mounts allowed. See Page 7, “e”. Bumper “mud guards” must be made with flexible material, not metal or tin. Stock car style tube bumpers are allowed [i.e. Allstar part #’s ALL22375, ALL22320 (Camaro style) Speedway part #’s 916-73040, 916-73032, 916-54730 (Camaro style)] Bumper size can be no larger than 1-1/2” OD and .095 wall thickness. – 11 –
- Engine and Transmissions: engine and transmission must be a unit offered by vehicle manufacturer, available stock or as an option. Internal and external modification is permitted. One naturally aspirated carburetor or fuel injection allowed. Headers allowed. Any engine can be used in any car, i.e. Chevy in a Ford.
- Chassis: Must have factory frame. Strengthening the frame by adding material is acceptable. However, no frame member may be removed except to allow the addition of heavier and stronger pieces. Must pass tech for safety. Frame connectors allowed.
- Body: All classes may run plastic, metal or fiberglass bodies. Body mounting and location in respect to wheel base must be maintained. Re-skinning with aluminum or steel sheet metal is allowed, not to exceed OEM thickness. Racer plastic (outside of cockpit), stock car nosepiece and tailpieces are acceptable. Wheel wells may be cut for tire clearance. Location of steering wheel / driver’s seat is up to the driver.
- All roll cage parts must be behind core support and contained within body panels and trunk. 1/8 inch expanded metal and or flexible material such as tin or soft plastic can be used in front of the core support.

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of or compliance with these rules. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official. BGM officials reserve the right to make changes to the rules during the course of the season, to ensure greater safety.
General Information:
- Stop fighting or pushing the ‘gray areas’ of the Rules. If it is not directly stated in the Rules, it is NOT legal and should not be done. If you feel it is legal and others do not, ASK an official and they will let you know if it is legal or not.
- Safety is our #1 priority!
- Unsportsmanlike conduct, abuse of officials/competitors/spectators/officers/ or disregard for safety or track rules, any actions detrimental to off-road racing, including intentionally affecting the outcome of the race, the company, or the company in regards to its sponsors, will NOT be tolerated. BGM officers, track reps, head flagger and corner workers are completely in charge of the race. Official’s interpretation, clarification, or application prevail upon disagreement or dispute. Drivers are responsible for all actions of crew members and Pitman/Dash and Powder Puff race drivers. Drivers may be issued penalties for pit crew misconduct. Such penalties may extend to the car as well as the driver. This also applies to track officials. *Unsportsmanlike conduct, abuse of officials/competitors/spectators and/or disregard for safety or track rules WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
PENALTIES, VIOLATIONS, AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION:
- Penalties for violation of the rules are determined by the severity of the violation(s) and its effects on fairness of competition, the orderly conduct of the event, and the interest of BGM racing, company sponsors, promoters and the company itself. Such penalties may include but are not limited to: disqualification, probation, suspension of racing privileges, fines and/or loss of points. Probation may be for a specified time period for review of the driver’s conduct to determine whether a more severe penalty is warranted. BGM Racing will use the following as guidelines for the imposition of penalties in the situations described below but may assess a greater or lesser penalty depending on the circumstances. Drivers are responsible for the pit crew members all will same the same penalty if their crew members violate these rules.
- Any person who assaults or threatens to do bodily harm to any official or persons serving under the officials direction: a monetary fine, suspension, potential lifetime suspension and/or loss of championship points.
- Any person, while participating in a sanctioned event, is in any way under the influence of any and all controlled substances, including but not limited to alcohol, drugs (including prescription), marijuana: disqualification, monetary fine, loss of championship points, and suspension.
- Any person who participates in fights in the pits, on the track, or on any race premises.
- Any person who participates in any verbal assault or threat of bodily harm in the pits, on the track, on any race premises, or including but not limited to social media or electronic communications:
Registration:
- $60.00 per class will be paid by each driver at registration.
- $25.00 SCORR Registration Fee (If haven’t paid yet)
- Driver must present a valid driver’s license
- Cars must be inspected prior to the driver’s meeting. Cars must have the complete body and both bumpers in place for tech. Cars will remove/raise hoods for inspection and bring all appropriate safety gear with them to tech inspection.
- Any car can have a partial or FULL inspection of any part or area by a track official for ANY REASON AT ANY TIME. Refusal to be inspected is admission of an illegal car.
- If a driver notifies a track official that an unforeseen incident will make him/her late, he/she must be at the track when the pit meeting starts. Driver can then be inspected as soon as the meeting ends. Anyone arriving once the pit meeting has started does not race.
- LATE REGISTRATION: Any driver who is late (past the posted end of check-in time) will pay a late fee. 1st offense $25, 2nd offense $50. Late fees will be added to that day’s purse.
- LATE PIT PEOPLE: Any late pit people will pay the track’s full pit pass price if they are included in the driver’s registration fee. Extra pit people will pay the full pit pass price plus $10. Track personnel hold the authority to deny entry into the pit area for late pit personnel.
- Extra pit people are charge $20.00. Extra pit people must sign release.
Payout:
- At drivers’ meeting state how many cars will move up from heats and mains, also how many places will be paid. Checks will be handed out after all the races are completed unless there is a protest. Please do not enter the crow’s nest to get your check, we will come find you after the races are over.
Pit Area Rules:
- 5 mph speed limit for all vehicles at all times
- Each registered car is allowed one support vehicle
- No alcohol or controlled substances in pit area before and during races. Drivers, crew members officials or volunteers who drink before end of all races will be removed from pit area. Anyone planning on driving pitman or powder puff may not consume alcoholic beverages prior to that race. Any violations will be dealt with following the disciplinary actions described above.
- All pit members must be present at the PIT meeting. It is the driver’s responsibility to make sure all his/her crew is present at the meeting. The driver is responsible for their pit crew, family and friends.
- Pit members are limited to the driver and two crew members based on the registration fee. Any extra pit members will be charged an additional fee. Drivers are responsible for all of their pit crew members.
- At the completion of each Heat, the next Heat drivers will be in position, safety equipped and ready to race. At the completion of a C Main, if the B main designated winning positions choose to move up, they have 10 minutes before the B Main green flag will drop.
- If a driver does not show up to line up at the initial call for their race, a track official must check with the driver before the race can start. If a driver doesn’t show up in 5 minutes or the allotted time after being informed by a track official that they are due for lineup, the race can start without them.
- If a driver is done for the day, it is the driver’s responsibility to inform the designated official that you are done for the day. DON’T MAKE US COME LOOKING FOR YOU!
Flags:
- GREEN: Go! Race started
- WHITE: One lap left in race
- YELLOW: Caution only. Keep racing but be cautious. Hanging yellow flag is the same obstacle. Waving yellow flag is a new hazard.
- Blue/Orange: Leaders are coming up on you. Please hold your line and be aware.
- RED: Danger! Stop immediately safely on the track.
- ORANGE: Safety flag. Stop at Designated Area and follow official’s instruction. This flag is used for loose parts on cars and can also be used for cutting corner, aggressive driving, etc.
- CHECKERED: Race is over. No matter how many laps a driver has completed, the race is over.
- ROLLED BLACK: Warning for aggressive or un-sportsmanship driving. Next time will be waved. Rolled black may also be used if the track does not have an Orange safety issue flag.
- WAVED BLACK: Track violation. Go to pit. Done for that race
Safety Rules and Minimum Requirements:
- All race vehicles are subject to inspection by officials at any time in any manner. Passing the initial Technical Safety Inspection is not an endorsement of the performance of the vehicle, nor an indication that the vehicle complies with all rules.
- Driver Controlled:
- All appropriate safety gear must be worn on the track at ALL TIMES!!
- Helmets– Super Stock- the helmet must be full faced and no older than 2010 and DOT/SNELL rating above 2010, motorcross style allowed and must be 2010 rated. If running Motorcross style goggles MUST be worn! Motocross style no longer allowed starting in 2024
- Helmets– Modified – the helmet must be full faced and DOT/Snell 2010 rated
- Apparel for ALL classes – Racing fire suits required, fire resistant racing shoes or leather boots and racing gloves are mandatory. firesuits can be 1 or 2 peice and at least single layer. ALL safety gear must be SFI rated(except leather boots). Neck collars or neck braces are required.
- Amber Light/Brakes: every vehicle will have to show that it can lock up at least two wheels at Tech. An amber light needs to be mounted in back window and working while on the track for visibility in dusty conditions.
- If you are directly involved in a roll over, all involved cars are out for that heat/main. This includes cars assisting in a rollover. Rolled cars must be reinspected by three (3) APPROVED people to ensure no safety or operational issues are missed. Any visible damage to the roll cage results in the car being disqualified from any remaining races that day.
- All cars must have forward and reverse at tech inspection in order to race.
Drivers Area:
- All glass, chrome, plastic, fiberglass, bolts, screws, and loose metal must be removed from exterior of car, inside or doors and Driver’s compartment.
- Doors, hood and trunk must be welded, bolted, pinned or chained shut. No chain from hood to/around core support or bumper.
- Sun roofs or T-tops must be covered with aluminum or sheet metal that is securely fastened.
- Hood and trunk must have 6” or bigger, or 4”x10” hole on passenger side unblocked access hole for fire hose
- Gas tanks may be left in original position but NOT used for gas or as a fuel cell. Fuel cell is recommended. Fuel cell cannot be under floor pan behind rear axle. Must be securely fastened in trunk and vented. Car must have firewall between fuel tank and driver. Fuel cell cannot be made out of aluminum. Stock fuel tank that is between the axles on FWD cars is allowed with skid plate allowed protecting tank.
- Battery must be mounted inside driver’s compartment or trunk. Battery must be securely mounted within the battery box, which must also be securely mounted.
- Number fin on top of car is required with the NUMBER being NO LESS THAN 7” high. Number on fin must match number on door, MUST have contrasting colors and be easily seen by the lap counters. No spray painted numbers on fin. Cars with electric fuel pump must have a 3” letter “E” behind car number and on fin. Cars with electric fuel pump must have a letter E painted behind car number. No other alpha characters are allowed in the car number.
- Mud flaps are mandatory for all cars.
- Seats and mounting – one piece after-market racing style seats are required for all classes. Seats are STRONGLY recommended that seats and seat mounts are fastened to the roll cage assembly.
- Harness and Mounting: a five point racing style lap and shoulder safety harness is mandatory. All belts must be in good conditions and not sun bleached or fatigues. All belts need to be mounted securely and correctly.
- Detachable steering wheels are recommended for all cars for safety.
- Roll Cage: A roll cage must be in a six-point configuration. Use a minimum or 1 ½ inch round tubing with .095 inch wall. Door bars need to be placed high enough and low enough to protect the occupant. Roll bar padding shall be installed anywhere your head or arm my hit during racing or incident.
- Minimum of 3 driver side door bars. Welds must be of good quality, good penetration and may be hammer tested. ANY class of cars may run any body/skin and can be made of plastic, metal or fiberglass. Cars must be held together by rivets or nuts and bolts to fasten sheet metal panels and NOT self-tapping screws. It is STRONGLY reccomended have a 1/8” plate welded horizontally into the roll cage in the door for safety. Racer plastic (outside of cockpit), stock car nosepieces and tailpieces are acceptable. Any mirror securely mounted to roll cage and not outside the body is allowed.
- Switches: track workers must be able to quickly find and turn off the ignition. The switch is to be painted orange or red and It must be located in the center of the dash area and clearly labeled “on” and “off”. Cars with electric fuel pump must have 2 switches: one switch located in the dash and a second Master SHUT OFF located in the rear passenger side so track workers can reach it from all directions. BOTH switches be painted orange or red for visibility.
- Fire Extinguisher: a working UL approved fire extinguisher must be in each pit.
- Nets: Driver’s side window must be covered with a factory racing window net. All nets must be mounted very securely to the doors and must be accessible and detachable from the bottom or top. Check net for wear, tears, weather damage, etc. and replace as needed for your safety. No Velcro
- Windshield mesh screen: All window mesh/screens must be strong enough to stop a baseball sized rock.
- Oil, Water, & Fuel Lines: Lines should have no leaks, and not in danger or abrasion from any moving parts. All classes must have secondary protection for any lines and tanks routed through driver’s compartment, and escape holes for the hot fluids behind the secondary protection shields and guards.
- Radiators must be in stock position. If radiator mount is broken, a mount may be made to put around radiator. Secondary cooling allowed
Front End/Rear end:
- Brakes & Lines: At least two wheels must lock up
- Drive Shaft Loop and Scatter Guard: A drive shaft retainer hoop/loop is required, 6-10 inches from front universal joint sufficiently mounted to secure the drive shaft if it fails
- Bumpers: All cars must have a stock bumper that is well secured to the vehicle. Bumpers will not be “oversided” compared to stock equipment. Bumpers must be capped with a piece of up to 2” tubing or a strap of metal not to exceed bumper height. Must be contained within original body line of car.
- Skid plate allowed, no more than 24” wide. If may extend from main frame cross member to core support or front bumper
- No transmission cooler may be in the driver compartment. Cooler may be in stock position or in trunk with a firewall in place.
- Weight added to car must be properly secured.
This class MUST remain within its manufacturers factory components. i.e. GM to GM parts only; FORD to FORD; DODGE to DODGE, etc. Pickups with a ¾ Ton rating or less, including S-10, Ranger, Dakota sized pickups; Must have a box, fleetside or flareside. 4×4 pickups must have front driveline removed. NO flatbeds, Rancheros or El Caminos. Any SUV is allowed. Removable roofs must be removed and a firewall must be installed in its place behind driver.
Any car found non-compliant with the these rules will race in the BGM Super Stock or modified class or not at all.
HELMETS may be NO OLDER than 2010 and full-faced. Motocross helmets are allowed if full faced and DOT/SNELL rating above 2010. Helmet will be checked at Tech at EVERY race. Any visible damage to the helmet will deem it unallowed. Note: wearing the Snell 2010 helmet is highly recommended. RACING FIRE SUITS, FR GLOVES AND FR OR MID-TOP LEATHER BOOTS ARE REQUIRED.
Allowed Front & Rear Suspension:
- Stock suspension pieces from any vehicle in the same manufacturers series.
- Different spring rates or added springs & weight jacks, longer than stock springs and shackles allowed.
- Reinforcement by plating, gussets, or other means on suspension components, rear ends, and frames.
- Body: May run any body / skin and can be made of plastic, metal or fiberglass. If using a fiberglass body, the driver’s compartment must have a steel plate under the roof, securely fastened to the driver halo.
- One (1) shock located in original location only, must be OEM style shock, designed to fit a production vehicle: a direct replacement of original or after-market, securely mounted in stock position. Coil over shocks ok. OEM, STOCK MOUNTING, ONLY IN ORIGINAL STOCK POSITION. Repairs must be in stock position. Trucks with dual factory shocks will remove the front shock, leaving the rear shock in the original position.
- Tires: Any style tire allowed except implement tires. Track officials / board members at the race have final call. Trucks will run maximum 16” rims, no split rims. Split rims result in disqualification.
- 5/8″ wheel studs acceptable.
- Four-wheel disc brakes allowed.
Engine:
- STOCK COMPONENTS AND PARTS ONLY!! Any factory aluminum or cast-iron intake allowed – must have factory stamp. No after market performance intake, even if built by the vehicle manufacturer. Cast-iron stock-looking aftermarket intake manifold allowed. OEM cast exhaust manifolds exiting below heads. Oil pan and valve covers must be stock. Mini starters allowed. The engine must be in stock position and have components such as fan & alternator hooked up and working at inspection.
- RESTRICTOR PLATE: ANY ENGINE USING A 4-BBL INTAKE MANIFOLD MUST RUN A RESTRICTOR PLATE WHETHER USING A 2BBL OR 4BBL CARBURETOR. All LIMITED 4-barrel carbureted cars and trucks must have a restrictor plate with a 1” bore size, which will be supplied by the Association. Any changes to / tampering with the restrictor plate results in a penalty: 1st violation is a $500 fine, loss of points and payout, and the restrictor plate confiscated by the LLC. Fine must be paid in full prior to the driver’s next race. Second violation is a $750 fine, loss of points and payout, confiscation of the restrictor plate, ejected from racing any more that year. Fine must be paid in full before the next race season.
- 2-barrel carbureted LIMITED cars are not required to have a restrictor plate but cannot have more than 500 cfm; Venturi cannot be greater than 1-3/8”.
- Races will be monitored throughout the season for effectiveness and addressed as needed.
- Exhaust must exit behind the transmission cross member. NO stacks.
- Only 1 carburetor allowed.
- Mechanical OEM fuel pump or aftermarket electric fuel pump allowed. Cars equipped with electric fuel pump must have 3” “E” behind numbers, and the required kill switches as noted in “M” of Safety Rules and Minimum Requirements for All Classes.
- Ignition system must use OEM stock for that car. Spark plug wires may be silicone style for heat control. Distributor caps may be changed with stock replacement. Rev limiter allowed.
- Non-aluminum racing fuel cells are required and must be securely mounted. Car must have a firewall between the fuel tank and the driver. Stock gas tank may be left in original position but NOT used as a fuel cell.
- Pump gas only. No exotic fuels, including E-85, in Super Stock class. The SCORR board will test fuels in question or at any time and may impose a penalty based on findings.
Miscellaneous
- Transmission cooler may be left in the original location or securely mounted elsewhere in the engine compartment car. Must have secondary protection for any lines routed through driver’s compartment.
- Firewall may be curved or bent for more distributor clearance. Station wagons and other vehicles without trunks, must build a rear firewall to protect the driver’s compartment from fluids and/or flames, which could come from the fuel cell, filler cap, fuel lines, etc.
- Posi-traction rear ends are recommended.
- Frame connectors allowed on unibody cars.
- Any fan, either OEM or aftermarket.
- One (1) Radiator only in stock location, added water allowed for cooling. No reinforcement in front of core support.
- Strengthening of A-arms allowed.
- Fire extinguisher mounted inside the car is highly recommended but is required in the pit.
- Tire protection allowed. Up to 1 1/2″ tubing 0.095″ (3/32″ or 13 gauge) or 6″ wide by 1/8″ thick plate NO THICKER, NO WIDER welded to bumper then extending along quarter panel and bending into frame. Not to exceed original body line. Black flag if used as a ram.
- A full roll cage kept within the body of the car and behind the core support is required.
- The stock core support must be in place.
- Damaged core supports may be repaired, but no stronger than stock. 1/8th expanded metal and/or flexible material such as tin can be used in front of radiator but MUST be behind core support.
- Any “mud guards” in front of the core support must be made with flexible material, i.e. soft plastic or rubber. No metal or tin allowed in front of core support.
- External radiator protector loop is allowed. Maximum 1 ½” OD pipe. Can extend from frame rail to frame rail only. Maximum of 4 points of contact. 2-points to the front bumper and 2-points from the top bar to the frame horns. Bar cannot be higher than the hood and must not stick out past the front of the bumper.
- Gear Limitation: 4.56 or numerically lower ratio only allowed in limited class.
ENFORCEMENT for GEAR LIMITATION:
- Top 5 cars in LIMITED A main can be protested by any driver who takes the green flag in the A main for $75 cash, presented to the Head Flagger, within 10 minutes of the checkered flag. $25 is an administration fee paid to the Company. $50 goes to protested driver if the car is found legal; it goes to driver who contested if the car is found illegal. If car is found to be illegal, the driver forfeits all points and winnings for the day: money earned will be divided among drivers earning a check that race day. Refusal to be torn down equals an illegal car. At least two (2) Board Members will be present during any teardown.
Not Allowed: LIMITED Class
- No welded spider gears in any rear end. Mini spools are NOT allowed in 7-1/2” GM rear end. Mini spools are still allowed in larger rear ends (ie. GM 8-1/2” & Ford 9”). Ford 9” rear ends, including full floating rear ends, are now allowed (not required) in all racecars in all classes. A 1” pipe plug inspection hole is recommended in all rear ends.
- Custom fabricated components to lighten unsprung weight of vehicle.
- Studded tires.
- ¾ rear end or custom fabricated rear end housings.
- Cars with pickup frames. Convertibles, Van’s or SUV’s.
- Steering brakes.
- Fuel injection systems except stock system as provided on that specific model and year.
- Blowers or turbos. No Nitrous Oxide or any other oxygen injection systems.
- Alteration of suspension pieces or location other than reinforcement.
- No hitches.
- No Beadlocks allowed in Limited class.
Any car found non-compliant with these rules will race in the modified class or not at all.
Passenger cars, station wagons, El Camino/Ranchero using only two-wheel drive, either front or rear wheel, produced in quantities of at least 5000 vehicles and available for sale in the USA.
Front & Rear Suspension:
- Maximum of 2 shocks allowed per wheel. Original factory shock must be as close to stock location as possible
- No rebuildable, revalveable, or remote reservoir shocks allowed
- Shocks protruding through hood must be covered.
- Tires: Any style tire allowed except implement tires. Tires must not exceed 31×10.50 in size
- Travel limits cannot exceed 12” on the front and 15” on the rear
- Aftermarket tubular stock style replacement (IMCA Certified) upper A-arms allowed. Aftermarket stock length tubular rear control arms allowed. All other parts must remain stock but can be reinforced.
Engine:
- Cast in / Cast Out: Stock components and parts Only. Factory stock stamped intake only, No high-performance intakes or parts. Cast iron stock-looking aftermarket intake manifold allowed. Stock looking intake that bolts to Vortec heads allowed. Part number #IN350MA from Engine Quest allowed to bolt to Vortec heads.
- Alternator, water pump, and power steering pump, if used, must be belt driven from the crankshaft pulley, unless equipped differently from the factory.
- No carb spacers allowed (2bbl to 4bbl adapters allowed)
- No Aftermarket high performance exhaust manifolds allowed (such as Holly, Speedway, Sanderson, etc..). Parts store stock replacement allowed (such as Doorman).
- Only one carburetor allowed
- No engine setback
- No LS engines allowed unless it is the factory engine that came with the car.
- Tall valve covers allowed, but No roller rockers allowed. Roller tip are ok
Miscellaneous:
- Gear Limitation: 5.14 or numerically lower ratio only allowed in Super Stock class. Posi or full spool preferred for safety, but mini spools or welded spiders are allowed.
ENFORCEMENT for gear limitations and roller rockers:
- Top 5 cars in Super Stock A main can be protested by any driver who takes the green flag in the A main for $75 cash, presented to the Head Official, within 10 minutes of the checkered flag. $25 Administration is a fee. $50 goes to protested driver if the car is found legal; it goes to driver who contested if the car is found illegal. If car is found to be illegal, the driver forfeits all points and winnings for the day (money earned will be divided among drivers earning a check that race day). Refusal to be torn down equals an illegal car. An official will be present during the tear-down. Payouts for that race will be held until the protest inspection is completed. At the completion of the race day the protested driver will put their car on jack stands and remove either rear pumpkin or differential cover for gear teeth inspection.
Not Allowed:
- Convertibles, Vans, SUVs Blowers or turbos.
- Studded tires
- Aftermarket fuel-injection systems
Passenger cars, station wagons, El Camino/Ranchero using only two wheel drive, either front or rear wheel, produced in quantities of at least 5000 vehicles and available for sale in the USA.
Allowed:
- Stock suspension pieces from any vehicle in the same manufacturers series.
- Custom suspension pieces allowed.
- Any ball joint adaptations but only in stock locations.
- Spindles may be aftermarket or modified but must be as heavy or strong as OEM.
- Different spring rates or added springs and weight jacks. Longer than stock, springs & shackles are allowed.
- Reinforcement by plating, gussets, or other means.
- Any shock combinations and configurations are allowed. Reservoir shocks allowed. Driver must be shielded from shock explosion danger. Coil over shocks ok.
- Any exposed shock(s) must be covered
- Any rear axle from any manufacturer under ¾-Ton rating narrowed and reinforced housings ok. Full spools allowed. Any style rear end that is not homemade is allowed. No welded spider gears in any rear end. Mini spools are NOT allowed in 7-1/2” GM rear end. Mini spools are still allowed in larger rear ends (ie. GM 8-1/2” & Ford 9”). Ford 9” rear ends, including full floating rear ends, are now allowed (not required) in all racecars in all classes. A 1” pipe plug inspection hole is recommended in all rear ends.
- Tire size is limited to 33×12.50, as stamped on sidewall.
- One radiator in stock location only.
- Frame must be contained within body configurations.
- Steering: steering system components must be located within + or – 3” original location. Center drive cockpit allowed. It may consist of aftermarket or custom parts as long as stronger and safer than stock. Steering brakes not allowed.
- Bumpers: Non-stock mounts allowed. See Page 7, “e”. Bumper “mud guards” must be made with flexible material, not metal or tin. Stock car style tube bumpers are allowed [i.e. Allstar part #’s ALL22375, ALL22320 (Camaro style) Speedway part #’s 916-73040, 916-73032, 916-54730 (Camaro style)] Bumper size can be no larger than 1-1/2” OD and .095 wall thickness. – 11 –
- Engine and Transmissions: engine and transmission must be a unit offered by vehicle manufacturer, available stock or as an option. Internal and external modification is permitted. One naturally aspirated carburetor or fuel injection allowed. Headers allowed. Any engine can be used in any car, i.e. Chevy in a Ford.
- Chassis: Must have factory frame. Strengthening the frame by adding material is acceptable. However, no frame member may be removed except to allow the addition of heavier and stronger pieces. Must pass tech for safety. Frame connectors allowed.
- Body: All classes may run plastic, metal or fiberglass bodies. Body mounting and location in respect to wheel base must be maintained. Re-skinning with aluminum or steel sheet metal is allowed, not to exceed OEM thickness. Racer plastic (outside of cockpit), stock car nosepiece and tailpieces are acceptable. Wheel wells may be cut for tire clearance. Location of steering wheel / driver’s seat is up to the driver.
- All roll cage parts must be behind core support and contained within body panels and trunk. 1/8 inch expanded metal and or flexible material such as tin or soft plastic can be used in front of the core support.
- FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: All cars will securely mount their own fire extinguisher inside the cockpit, within reach of the driver while strapped in the harness.
Not allowed in Modified class
- Custom fabricated components to lighten un-sprung weight of vehicle.
- Studded tires
- Blowers nor turbos. Nitrous Oxide or any other oxygen injection systems!
BGM/SCORE RULEBOOK
The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of or compliance with these rules. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official. BGM officials reserve the right to make changes to the rules during the course of the season, to ensure greater safety.
General Information:
- Stop fighting or pushing the ‘gray areas’ of the Rules. If it is not directly stated in the Rules, it is NOT legal and should not be done. If you feel it is legal and others do not, ASK an official and they will let you know if it is legal or not.
- Safety is our #1 priority!
- Unsportsmanlike conduct, abuse of officials/competitors/spectators/officers/ or disregard for safety or track rules, any actions detrimental to off-road racing, including intentionally affecting the outcome of the race, the company, or the company in regards to its sponsors, will NOT be tolerated. BGM officers, track reps, head flagger and corner workers are completely in charge of the race. Official’s interpretation, clarification, or application prevail upon disagreement or dispute. Drivers are responsible for all actions of crew members and Pitman/Dash and Powder Puff race drivers. Drivers may be issued penalties for pit crew misconduct. Such penalties may extend to the car as well as the driver. This also applies to track officials. *Unsportsmanlike conduct, abuse of officials/competitors/spectators and/or disregard for safety or track rules WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
PENALTIES, VIOLATIONS, AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION:
- Penalties for violation of the rules are determined by the severity of the violation(s) and its effects on fairness of competition, the orderly conduct of the event, and the interest of BGM racing, company sponsors, promoters and the company itself. Such penalties may include but are not limited to: disqualification, probation, suspension of racing privileges, fines and/or loss of points. Probation may be for a specified time period for review of the driver’s conduct to determine whether a more severe penalty is warranted. BGM Racing will use the following as guidelines for the imposition of penalties in the situations described below but may assess a greater or lesser penalty depending on the circumstances. Drivers are responsible for the pit crew members all will same the same penalty if their crew members violate these rules.
- Any person who assaults or threatens to do bodily harm to any official or persons serving under the officials direction: a monetary fine, suspension, potential lifetime suspension and/or loss of championship points.
- Any person, while participating in a sanctioned event, is in any way under the influence of any and all controlled substances, including but not limited to alcohol, drugs (including prescription), marijuana: disqualification, monetary fine, loss of championship points, and suspension.
- Any person who participates in fights in the pits, on the track, or on any race premises.
- Any person who participates in any verbal assault or threat of bodily harm in the pits, on the track, on any race premises, or including but not limited to social media or electronic communications:
Registration:
- $60.00 per class will be paid by each driver at registration.
- $25.00 SCORR Registration Fee (If haven’t paid yet)
- Driver must present a valid driver’s license
- Cars must be inspected prior to the driver’s meeting. Cars must have the complete body and both bumpers in place for tech. Cars will remove/raise hoods for inspection and bring all appropriate safety gear with them to tech inspection.
- Any car can have a partial or FULL inspection of any part or area by a track official for ANY REASON AT ANY TIME. Refusal to be inspected is admission of an illegal car.
- If a driver notifies a track official that an unforeseen incident will make him/her late, he/she must be at the track when the pit meeting starts. Driver can then be inspected as soon as the meeting ends. Anyone arriving once the pit meeting has started does not race.
- LATE REGISTRATION: Any driver who is late (past the posted end of check-in time) will pay a late fee. 1st offense $25, 2nd offense $50. Late fees will be added to that day’s purse.
- LATE PIT PEOPLE: Any late pit people will pay the track’s full pit pass price if they are included in the driver’s registration fee. Extra pit people will pay the full pit pass price plus $10. Track personnel hold the authority to deny entry into the pit area for late pit personnel.
- Extra pit people are charge $20.00. Extra pit people must sign release.
Payout:
- At drivers’ meeting state how many cars will move up from heats and mains, also how many places will be paid. Checks will be handed out after all the races are completed unless there is a protest. Please do not enter the crow’s nest to get your check, we will come find you after the races are over.
Pit Area Rules:
- 5 mph speed limit for all vehicles at all times
- Each registered car is allowed one support vehicle
- No alcohol or controlled substances in pit area before and during races. Drivers, crew members officials or volunteers who drink before end of all races will be removed from pit area. Anyone planning on driving pitman or powder puff may not consume alcoholic beverages prior to that race. Any violations will be dealt with following the disciplinary actions described above.
- All pit members must be present at the PIT meeting. It is the driver’s responsibility to make sure all his/her crew is present at the meeting. The driver is responsible for their pit crew, family and friends.
- Pit members are limited to the driver and two crew members based on the registration fee. Any extra pit members will be charged an additional fee. Drivers are responsible for all of their pit crew members.
- At the completion of each Heat, the next Heat drivers will be in position, safety equipped and ready to race. At the completion of a C Main, if the B main designated winning positions choose to move up, they have 10 minutes before the B Main green flag will drop.
- If a driver does not show up to line up at the initial call for their race, a track official must check with the driver before the race can start. If a driver doesn’t show up in 5 minutes or the allotted time after being informed by a track official that they are due for lineup, the race can start without them.
- If a driver is done for the day, it is the driver’s responsibility to inform the designated official that you are done for the day. DON’T MAKE US COME LOOKING FOR YOU!
Flags:
- GREEN: Go! Race started
- WHITE: One lap left in race
- YELLOW: Caution only. Keep racing but be cautious. Hanging yellow flag is the same obstacle. Waving yellow flag is a new hazard.
- Blue/Orange: Leaders are coming up on you. Please hold your line and be aware.
- RED: Danger! Stop immediately safely on the track.
- ORANGE: Safety flag. Stop at Designated Area and follow official’s instruction. This flag is used for loose parts on cars and can also be used for cutting corner, aggressive driving, etc.
- CHECKERED: Race is over. No matter how many laps a driver has completed, the race is over.
- ROLLED BLACK: Warning for aggressive or un-sportsmanship driving. Next time will be waved. Rolled black may also be used if the track does not have an Orange safety issue flag.
- WAVED BLACK: Track violation. Go to pit. Done for that race
Safety Rules and Minimum Requirements:
- All race vehicles are subject to inspection by officials at any time in any manner. Passing the initial Technical Safety Inspection is not an endorsement of the performance of the vehicle, nor an indication that the vehicle complies with all rules.
- Driver Controlled:
- All appropriate safety gear must be worn on the track at ALL TIMES!!
- Helmets– Super Stock- the helmet must be full faced and no older than 2010 and DOT/SNELL rating above 2010, motorcross style allowed and must be 2010 rated. If running Motorcross style goggles MUST be worn! Motocross style no longer allowed starting in 2024
- Helmets– Modified – the helmet must be full faced and DOT/Snell 2010 rated
- Apparel for ALL classes – Racing fire suits required, fire resistant racing shoes or leather boots and racing gloves are mandatory. firesuits can be 1 or 2 peice and at least single layer. ALL safety gear must be SFI rated(except leather boots). Neck collars or neck braces are required.
- Amber Light/Brakes: every vehicle will have to show that it can lock up at least two wheels at Tech. An amber light needs to be mounted in back window and working while on the track for visibility in dusty conditions.
- If you are directly involved in a roll over, all involved cars are out for that heat/main. This includes cars assisting in a rollover. Rolled cars must be reinspected by three (3) APPROVED people to ensure no safety or operational issues are missed. Any visible damage to the roll cage results in the car being disqualified from any remaining races that day.
- All cars must have forward and reverse at tech inspection in order to race.
Drivers Area:
- All glass, chrome, plastic, fiberglass, bolts, screws, and loose metal must be removed from exterior of car, inside or doors and Driver’s compartment.
- Doors, hood and trunk must be welded, bolted, pinned or chained shut. No chain from hood to/around core support or bumper.
- Sun roofs or T-tops must be covered with aluminum or sheet metal that is securely fastened.
- Hood and trunk must have 6” or bigger, or 4”x10” hole on passenger side unblocked access hole for fire hose
- Gas tanks may be left in original position but NOT used for gas or as a fuel cell. Fuel cell is recommended. Fuel cell cannot be under floor pan behind rear axle. Must be securely fastened in trunk and vented. Car must have firewall between fuel tank and driver. Fuel cell cannot be made out of aluminum. Stock fuel tank that is between the axles on FWD cars is allowed with skid plate allowed protecting tank.
- Battery must be mounted inside driver’s compartment or trunk. Battery must be securely mounted within the battery box, which must also be securely mounted.
- Number fin on top of car is required with the NUMBER being NO LESS THAN 7” high. Number on fin must match number on door, MUST have contrasting colors and be easily seen by the lap counters. No spray painted numbers on fin. Cars with electric fuel pump must have a 3” letter “E” behind car number and on fin. Cars with electric fuel pump must have a letter E painted behind car number. No other alpha characters are allowed in the car number.
- Mud flaps are mandatory for all cars.
- Seats and mounting – one piece after-market racing style seats are required for all classes. Seats are STRONGLY recommended that seats and seat mounts are fastened to the roll cage assembly.
- Harness and Mounting: a five point racing style lap and shoulder safety harness is mandatory. All belts must be in good conditions and not sun bleached or fatigues. All belts need to be mounted securely and correctly.
- Detachable steering wheels are recommended for all cars for safety.
- Roll Cage: A roll cage must be in a six-point configuration. Use a minimum or 1 ½ inch round tubing with .095 inch wall. Door bars need to be placed high enough and low enough to protect the occupant. Roll bar padding shall be installed anywhere your head or arm my hit during racing or incident.
- Minimum of 3 driver side door bars. Welds must be of good quality, good penetration and may be hammer tested. ANY class of cars may run any body/skin and can be made of plastic, metal or fiberglass. Cars must be held together by rivets or nuts and bolts to fasten sheet metal panels and NOT self-tapping screws. It is STRONGLY reccomended have a 1/8” plate welded horizontally into the roll cage in the door for safety. Racer plastic (outside of cockpit), stock car nosepieces and tailpieces are acceptable. Any mirror securely mounted to roll cage and not outside the body is allowed.
- Switches: track workers must be able to quickly find and turn off the ignition. The switch is to be painted orange or red and It must be located in the center of the dash area and clearly labeled “on” and “off”. Cars with electric fuel pump must have 2 switches: one switch located in the dash and a second Master SHUT OFF located in the rear passenger side so track workers can reach it from all directions. BOTH switches be painted orange or red for visibility.
- Fire Extinguisher: a working UL approved fire extinguisher must be in each pit.
- Nets: Driver’s side window must be covered with a factory racing window net. All nets must be mounted very securely to the doors and must be accessible and detachable from the bottom or top. Check net for wear, tears, weather damage, etc. and replace as needed for your safety. No Velcro
- Windshield mesh screen: All window mesh/screens must be strong enough to stop a baseball sized rock.
- Oil, Water, & Fuel Lines: Lines should have no leaks, and not in danger or abrasion from any moving parts. All classes must have secondary protection for any lines and tanks routed through driver’s compartment, and escape holes for the hot fluids behind the secondary protection shields and guards.
- Radiators must be in stock position. If radiator mount is broken, a mount may be made to put around radiator. Secondary cooling allowed
Front End/Rear end:
- Brakes & Lines: At least two wheels must lock up
- Drive Shaft Loop and Scatter Guard: A drive shaft retainer hoop/loop is required, 6-10 inches from front universal joint sufficiently mounted to secure the drive shaft if it fails
- Bumpers: All cars must have a stock bumper that is well secured to the vehicle. Bumpers will not be “oversided” compared to stock equipment. Bumpers must be capped with a piece of up to 2” tubing or a strap of metal not to exceed bumper height. Must be contained within original body line of car.
- Skid plate allowed, no more than 24” wide. If may extend from main frame cross member to core support or front bumper
- No transmission cooler may be in the driver compartment. Cooler may be in stock position or in trunk with a firewall in place.
- Weight added to car must be properly secured.
This class MUST remain within its manufacturers factory components. i.e. GM to GM parts only; FORD to FORD; DODGE to DODGE, etc. Pickups with a ¾ Ton rating or less, including S-10, Ranger, Dakota sized pickups; Must have a box, fleetside or flareside. 4×4 pickups must have front driveline removed. NO flatbeds, Rancheros or El Caminos. Any SUV is allowed. Removable roofs must be removed and a firewall must be installed in its place behind driver.
Any car found non-compliant with the these rules will race in the BGM Super Stock or modified class or not at all.
HELMETS may be NO OLDER than 2010 and full-faced. Motocross helmets are allowed if full faced and DOT/SNELL rating above 2010. Helmet will be checked at Tech at EVERY race. Any visible damage to the helmet will deem it unallowed. Note: wearing the Snell 2010 helmet is highly recommended. RACING FIRE SUITS, FR GLOVES AND FR OR MID-TOP LEATHER BOOTS ARE REQUIRED.
Allowed Front & Rear Suspension:
- Stock suspension pieces from any vehicle in the same manufacturers series.
- Different spring rates or added springs & weight jacks, longer than stock springs and shackles allowed.
- Reinforcement by plating, gussets, or other means on suspension components, rear ends, and frames.
- Body: May run any body / skin and can be made of plastic, metal or fiberglass. If using a fiberglass body, the driver’s compartment must have a steel plate under the roof, securely fastened to the driver halo.
- One (1) shock located in original location only, must be OEM style shock, designed to fit a production vehicle: a direct replacement of original or after-market, securely mounted in stock position. Coil over shocks ok. OEM, STOCK MOUNTING, ONLY IN ORIGINAL STOCK POSITION. Repairs must be in stock position. Trucks with dual factory shocks will remove the front shock, leaving the rear shock in the original position.
- Tires: Any style tire allowed except implement tires. Track officials / board members at the race have final call. Trucks will run maximum 16” rims, no split rims. Split rims result in disqualification.
- 5/8″ wheel studs acceptable.
- Four-wheel disc brakes allowed.
Engine:
- STOCK COMPONENTS AND PARTS ONLY!! Any factory aluminum or cast-iron intake allowed – must have factory stamp. No after market performance intake, even if built by the vehicle manufacturer. Cast-iron stock-looking aftermarket intake manifold allowed. OEM cast exhaust manifolds exiting below heads. Oil pan and valve covers must be stock. Mini starters allowed. The engine must be in stock position and have components such as fan & alternator hooked up and working at inspection.
- RESTRICTOR PLATE: ANY ENGINE USING A 4-BBL INTAKE MANIFOLD MUST RUN A RESTRICTOR PLATE WHETHER USING A 2BBL OR 4BBL CARBURETOR. All LIMITED 4-barrel carbureted cars and trucks must have a restrictor plate with a 1” bore size, which will be supplied by the Association. Any changes to / tampering with the restrictor plate results in a penalty: 1st violation is a $500 fine, loss of points and payout, and the restrictor plate confiscated by the LLC. Fine must be paid in full prior to the driver’s next race. Second violation is a $750 fine, loss of points and payout, confiscation of the restrictor plate, ejected from racing any more that year. Fine must be paid in full before the next race season.
- 2-barrel carbureted LIMITED cars are not required to have a restrictor plate but cannot have more than 500 cfm; Venturi cannot be greater than 1-3/8”.
- Races will be monitored throughout the season for effectiveness and addressed as needed.
- Exhaust must exit behind the transmission cross member. NO stacks.
- Only 1 carburetor allowed.
- Mechanical OEM fuel pump or aftermarket electric fuel pump allowed. Cars equipped with electric fuel pump must have 3” “E” behind numbers, and the required kill switches as noted in “M” of Safety Rules and Minimum Requirements for All Classes.
- Ignition system must use OEM stock for that car. Spark plug wires may be silicone style for heat control. Distributor caps may be changed with stock replacement. Rev limiter allowed.
- Non-aluminum racing fuel cells are required and must be securely mounted. Car must have a firewall between the fuel tank and the driver. Stock gas tank may be left in original position but NOT used as a fuel cell.
- Pump gas only. No exotic fuels, including E-85, in Super Stock class. The SCORR board will test fuels in question or at any time and may impose a penalty based on findings.
Miscellaneous
- Transmission cooler may be left in the original location or securely mounted elsewhere in the engine compartment car. Must have secondary protection for any lines routed through driver’s compartment.
- Firewall may be curved or bent for more distributor clearance. Station wagons and other vehicles without trunks, must build a rear firewall to protect the driver’s compartment from fluids and/or flames, which could come from the fuel cell, filler cap, fuel lines, etc.
- Posi-traction rear ends are recommended.
- Frame connectors allowed on unibody cars.
- Any fan, either OEM or aftermarket.
- One (1) Radiator only in stock location, added water allowed for cooling. No reinforcement in front of core support.
- Strengthening of A-arms allowed.
- Fire extinguisher mounted inside the car is highly recommended but is required in the pit.
- Tire protection allowed. Up to 1 1/2″ tubing 0.095″ (3/32″ or 13 gauge) or 6″ wide by 1/8″ thick plate NO THICKER, NO WIDER welded to bumper then extending along quarter panel and bending into frame. Not to exceed original body line. Black flag if used as a ram.
- A full roll cage kept within the body of the car and behind the core support is required.
- The stock core support must be in place.
- Damaged core supports may be repaired, but no stronger than stock. 1/8th expanded metal and/or flexible material such as tin can be used in front of radiator but MUST be behind core support.
- Any “mud guards” in front of the core support must be made with flexible material, i.e. soft plastic or rubber. No metal or tin allowed in front of core support.
- External radiator protector loop is allowed. Maximum 1 ½” OD pipe. Can extend from frame rail to frame rail only. Maximum of 4 points of contact. 2-points to the front bumper and 2-points from the top bar to the frame horns. Bar cannot be higher than the hood and must not stick out past the front of the bumper.
- Gear Limitation: 4.56 or numerically lower ratio only allowed in limited class.
ENFORCEMENT for GEAR LIMITATION:
- Top 5 cars in LIMITED A main can be protested by any driver who takes the green flag in the A main for $75 cash, presented to the Head Flagger, within 10 minutes of the checkered flag. $25 is an administration fee paid to the Company. $50 goes to protested driver if the car is found legal; it goes to driver who contested if the car is found illegal. If car is found to be illegal, the driver forfeits all points and winnings for the day: money earned will be divided among drivers earning a check that race day. Refusal to be torn down equals an illegal car. At least two (2) Board Members will be present during any teardown.
Not Allowed: LIMITED Class
- No welded spider gears in any rear end. Mini spools are NOT allowed in 7-1/2” GM rear end. Mini spools are still allowed in larger rear ends (ie. GM 8-1/2” & Ford 9”). Ford 9” rear ends, including full floating rear ends, are now allowed (not required) in all racecars in all classes. A 1” pipe plug inspection hole is recommended in all rear ends.
- Custom fabricated components to lighten unsprung weight of vehicle.
- Studded tires.
- ¾ rear end or custom fabricated rear end housings.
- Cars with pickup frames. Convertibles, Van’s or SUV’s.
- Steering brakes.
- Fuel injection systems except stock system as provided on that specific model and year.
- Blowers or turbos. No Nitrous Oxide or any other oxygen injection systems.
- Alteration of suspension pieces or location other than reinforcement.
- No hitches.
- No Beadlocks allowed in Limited class.
Any car found non-compliant with these rules will race in the modified class or not at all.
Passenger cars, station wagons, El Camino/Ranchero using only two-wheel drive, either front or rear wheel, produced in quantities of at least 5000 vehicles and available for sale in the USA.
Front & Rear Suspension:
- Maximum of 2 shocks allowed per wheel. Original factory shock must be as close to stock location as possible
- No rebuildable, revalveable, or remote reservoir shocks allowed
- Shocks protruding through hood must be covered.
- Tires: Any style tire allowed except implement tires. Tires must not exceed 31×10.50 in size
- Travel limits cannot exceed 12” on the front and 15” on the rear
- Aftermarket tubular stock style replacement (IMCA Certified) upper A-arms allowed. Aftermarket stock length tubular rear control arms allowed. All other parts must remain stock but can be reinforced.
Engine:
- Cast in / Cast Out: Stock components and parts Only. Factory stock stamped intake only, No high-performance intakes or parts. Cast iron stock-looking aftermarket intake manifold allowed. Stock looking intake that bolts to Vortec heads allowed. Part number #IN350MA from Engine Quest allowed to bolt to Vortec heads.
- Alternator, water pump, and power steering pump, if used, must be belt driven from the crankshaft pulley, unless equipped differently from the factory.
- No carb spacers allowed (2bbl to 4bbl adapters allowed)
- No Aftermarket high performance exhaust manifolds allowed (such as Holly, Speedway, Sanderson, etc..). Parts store stock replacement allowed (such as Doorman).
- Only one carburetor allowed
- No engine setback
- No LS engines allowed unless it is the factory engine that came with the car.
- Tall valve covers allowed, but No roller rockers allowed. Roller tip are ok
Miscellaneous:
- Gear Limitation: 5.14 or numerically lower ratio only allowed in Super Stock class. Posi or full spool preferred for safety, but mini spools or welded spiders are allowed.
ENFORCEMENT for gear limitations and roller rockers:
- Top 5 cars in Super Stock A main can be protested by any driver who takes the green flag in the A main for $75 cash, presented to the Head Official, within 10 minutes of the checkered flag. $25 Administration is a fee. $50 goes to protested driver if the car is found legal; it goes to driver who contested if the car is found illegal. If car is found to be illegal, the driver forfeits all points and winnings for the day (money earned will be divided among drivers earning a check that race day). Refusal to be torn down equals an illegal car. An official will be present during the tear-down. Payouts for that race will be held until the protest inspection is completed. At the completion of the race day the protested driver will put their car on jack stands and remove either rear pumpkin or differential cover for gear teeth inspection.
Not Allowed:
- Convertibles, Vans, SUVs Blowers or turbos.
- Studded tires
- Aftermarket fuel-injection systems
Passenger cars, station wagons, El Camino/Ranchero using only two wheel drive, either front or rear wheel, produced in quantities of at least 5000 vehicles and available for sale in the USA.
Allowed:
- Stock suspension pieces from any vehicle in the same manufacturers series.
- Custom suspension pieces allowed.
- Any ball joint adaptations but only in stock locations.
- Spindles may be aftermarket or modified but must be as heavy or strong as OEM.
- Different spring rates or added springs and weight jacks. Longer than stock, springs & shackles are allowed.
- Reinforcement by plating, gussets, or other means.
- Any shock combinations and configurations are allowed. Reservoir shocks allowed. Driver must be shielded from shock explosion danger. Coil over shocks ok.
- Any exposed shock(s) must be covered
- Any rear axle from any manufacturer under ¾-Ton rating narrowed and reinforced housings ok. Full spools allowed. Any style rear end that is not homemade is allowed. No welded spider gears in any rear end. Mini spools are NOT allowed in 7-1/2” GM rear end. Mini spools are still allowed in larger rear ends (ie. GM 8-1/2” & Ford 9”). Ford 9” rear ends, including full floating rear ends, are now allowed (not required) in all racecars in all classes. A 1” pipe plug inspection hole is recommended in all rear ends.
- Tire size is limited to 33×12.50, as stamped on sidewall.
- One radiator in stock location only.
- Frame must be contained within body configurations.
- Steering: steering system components must be located within + or – 3” original location. Center drive cockpit allowed. It may consist of aftermarket or custom parts as long as stronger and safer than stock. Steering brakes not allowed.
- Bumpers: Non-stock mounts allowed. See Page 7, “e”. Bumper “mud guards” must be made with flexible material, not metal or tin. Stock car style tube bumpers are allowed [i.e. Allstar part #’s ALL22375, ALL22320 (Camaro style) Speedway part #’s 916-73040, 916-73032, 916-54730 (Camaro style)] Bumper size can be no larger than 1-1/2” OD and .095 wall thickness. – 11 –
- Engine and Transmissions: engine and transmission must be a unit offered by vehicle manufacturer, available stock or as an option. Internal and external modification is permitted. One naturally aspirated carburetor or fuel injection allowed. Headers allowed. Any engine can be used in any car, i.e. Chevy in a Ford.
- Chassis: Must have factory frame. Strengthening the frame by adding material is acceptable. However, no frame member may be removed except to allow the addition of heavier and stronger pieces. Must pass tech for safety. Frame connectors allowed.
- Body: All classes may run plastic, metal or fiberglass bodies. Body mounting and location in respect to wheel base must be maintained. Re-skinning with aluminum or steel sheet metal is allowed, not to exceed OEM thickness. Racer plastic (outside of cockpit), stock car nosepiece and tailpieces are acceptable. Wheel wells may be cut for tire clearance. Location of steering wheel / driver’s seat is up to the driver.
- All roll cage parts must be behind core support and contained within body panels and trunk. 1/8 inch expanded metal and or flexible material such as tin or soft plastic can be used in front of the core support.
- FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: All cars will securely mount their own fire extinguisher inside the cockpit, within reach of the driver while strapped in the harness.
Not allowed in Modified class
- Custom fabricated components to lighten un-sprung weight of vehicle.
- Studded tires
- Blowers nor turbos. Nitrous Oxide or any other oxygen injection systems!
